Tanzania safaris to start from

Each route below is an example. Compare the length, the parks and the pace, then tell us what you'd change. Prices depend on your dates, group and accommodation, so every trip is quoted personally.

How planning works

What happens after you enquire

  1. 01

    Tell us your plans

Use the safari planner to share rough dates, who is travelling and what you hope to see. It takes a few minutes and nothing is booked.

  2. 02

    Talk it through

Elia or the team reviews your request and gets in touch to discuss the route, the pace and the type of accommodation.

  3. 03

    Receive your proposal

You receive a written itinerary with accommodation and a quote for your group and dates, then refine it until it feels right.

  4. 04

    Confirm when you're ready

Your safari is booked only when you choose to confirm it. Sending the planner does not reserve anything.

Good to know

Before you choose

Why don't you show prices?

The cost of a safari depends on the season, the number of travellers, the accommodation standard and the route. Rather than show a misleading 'from' price, we quote each trip personally once we know these details.

Can I change an itinerary?

Yes. The itineraries on this site are examples. You can add or remove days, change parks, or adjust the pace and the accommodation.

When is the best time to go on safari in Tanzania?

There is wildlife all year. The dry months, about June to October, usually make game viewing easier. River crossings in the Northern Serengeti usually happen from about August to October, and calving in the south from about December to March. Tell us your dates and we'll explain what is likely.

How much time will I spend driving?

Northern Tanzania safaris involve road travel between parks, and much of it doubles as game viewing. Each itinerary explains its longer days. A fly-in safari reduces road time.
